Directed by Kazuko Hirabayashi, the objective of DNYI - Summer Program in France is to meet future professionnal and emerging choreographers in a crosscultural dialog. This exchange is meant to enlarge the knowledge and experience of each other's idea through a creative collaboration.

The morning will be consecrated to different dance techniques :
Wilfried Romoli, étoile of the Paris Opéra, will assure the ballet class and several contemporary teachers will introduce the participants to different dance techniques of the american style.

The afternoon is reserved to creation :
Kazuko Hirabayashi teaches composition. The young dancer/choreographer who wishes to participate in this « atelier » will be introduced to different forms of composition based on academic structures.

Guided and stimulated by the faculty and choreographers, the participant will be accompanied individually in his personnal artistic and choreographic study.

Each week-end, participants will have the possibility to present their work in progress in the Studio Théâtre DTM, Paris and, by the end of the three weeks program, the final show will be presented at the Théâtre Espace Paris Plaine.

Provisional schedule (Monday to Friday) :

14h00 - 15h00 - Choregraphic composition
15h00 - 18h00 - Repertoire and rehearsals

Costs :
Full program (3 weeks) : 600€
Partial program (2 weeks) : 450€
Partial program (1 weeks) : 250€
Subscription at DTM (obligatory for non members) : 25€
